In Melania Trump’s memoir, alongside her love for her husband Donald Trump, one theme stands out: her strong focus on money. She describes financial independence as a “core value” and writes, “I have long been driven to work hard and earn my own money. I firmly believe in maintaining control over one’s own life, regardless of who you marry.” Followers of Melania feel she may have gone into commercial overdrive in recent months. She was paid USD 237,500 for a campaign fundraising event in April for an LGBT group called the Log Cabin Republicans, according to Donald Trump’s latest financial disclosures.
Three months later, the same group thanked the former first lady for hosting them in New York penthouse in July. It is also not cleared that Melania was paid for the second appearance.
It is worth noting that this is not the first time she has charged big amount for campaign appearances.
From what the records show, Melania has managed to bag over $250,000 in December 2022 from her addresses at several events. She graced occasions hosted by the Log Cabin Republicans and Fix California, a Californian group keen on promoting fair elections. As the previous year wound down in 2021, she also pocketed approximately $155,000 courtesy of a Trump-affiliated political action committee fondly nicknamed Make America Great Again, Again.
It’s quite remarkable to note that in April, Melania made a rather rare appearance for a campaign event and received payment. In particular, she was involved with an LGBT group, the Log Cabin Republicans, for a fundraising event, and was compensated $237,500. This fact is highlighted in the latest financial disclosures by Donald Trump.
In an unorthodox move, Melania, in 2022, auctioned her white hat that she wore during her France visit for USD 170,000.
In October, Melania’s memoir hit the market and created quite the buzz with its profitable popularity. Priced at $40 per copy, a slice of the income could be attributed to an even more exclusive $150 signed copy.
The October release date was financially savvy, said Melania’s former aide Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, noting that she is “making the most of the time before the election” since her “value diminishes if she’s no longer a potential first lady.” However, her exact earnings are unknown.
Donald Trump is worth an estimated $6.6 billion, according to Forbes, which makes him one of the richest and most powerful men in the world.
Donald Trump is one of the richest persons in the world with a wealth of approx. USD 6.6 billion, as per Forbes. His wife Melania has access to all the luxuries such as private jets, mansions, etc.
She is regularly sotted wearing clothes with five-figure price tags.
Melania takes great pride in her financial self-sufficiency, saying that she is in no way financially dependent on her husband. Responding to a “gold digger” accusations, she said in her memoire that, “I was already a thriving model, enjoying my success when our paths crossed.”
In 2010, Melania was selling a collection of watches and jewellery, including a faux-ruby and diamond cocktail ring for USD 35, personally promoting them on the home shopping network – QVC.
As per her memoire, she even tried to launch her skincare line by selling serums, ‘all priced between $50 and $150,’
Melania is cashing in on the popular trend of Non-Fungible Tokens, also known as NFTs. They’re best described as electronic-only collectables. Part of what she’s offering are three digital sketches, styled like watercolors, portraying her time as the First Lady. Each is retailing at a neat $150.
