Chaos in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as unknown assailants set FC officials’ residences on fire

Peshawar: Chaos erupted in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Thursday night when unknown assailants set the residences of Frontier Constabulary officials on fire, news agency PTI reported, citing local police. Fortunately, no loss of life was reported, even though the assailants reduced the FC officials’ residences to ashes. The incident took place in the Kot Laloo area of the Dera Ismail Khan district.

According to officials, the personnel were out on duty when the assailants barged into the area and set their houses on fire.
Police rushed to the spot after getting the distress call and initiated a probe into the incident.

Family members of the officials, including women and children, were set aside by the armed men before burning the houses.

In a separate incident, a police constable was shot dead by unidentified assailants in the Tithar Khel area of Lakki Marwat district.

Police are investigating both incidents.
