Two of Pakistan’s biggest terrorist organizations, Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), have joined forces with Hamas. This alliance was publicly seen in Rawalakot, Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), during an event called Kashmir Solidarity Day. At this event, Jaish militants were seen providing security to Hamas leaders on stage. A Jaish terrorist even announced from the stage that Hamas and Pakistani jihadi groups have united.
Among the key attendees were Talha Saif, brother of Jaish-e-Mohammed chief Masood Azhar, Jaish commanders Asghar Khan Kashmiri and Masood Ilyas, and top LeT leaders.
Anti-India hate speech
During the event, terrorist leaders openly spoke against India, making hateful statements against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah. One terrorist claimed that fighters from Palestine and Kashmir have united. He even threatened to shed blood in Delhi, separate Kashmir from India, and break India into pieces.
Pakistan’s support for Hamas
Pakistan has had long-standing ties with Hamas. The Pakistani military trains Hamas terrorists, especially in air and naval operations, with help from Pakistan’s SSG (Special Services Group) commandos. Many of these trained terrorists then carry out attacks against Israel. Hamas also receives large amounts of funding from Pakistan. After the recent Israel-Gaza conflict, Pakistani leaders even met Hamas officials in Qatar, strengthening their relationship further.
Hamas, a Palestinian terrorist group recently involved in a war with Israel, has mostly focused its activities in the Middle East. However, its participation in a Pakistan-backed event shows that it is expanding its reach and building stronger ties with Pakistan-based terror groups. This also suggests that Pakistan is actively supporting global terrorist networks to create instability in the region.
In the past, Hamas leaders have spoken against India, especially about Kashmir. Intelligence reports have also warned that Hamas may collaborate with extremist groups in South Asia, increasing the risk of violence in the region.
