‘Fighting Cancer’! Princess Of Wales Kate Middleton Reveals Shes Undergoing Chemotherapy Treatment

London: Britain’s Princess of Wales Kate Middleton on Friday revealed that she is undergoing preventative chemotherapy. The post-tests after her major abdominal surgery in January revealed the presence of cancer. Notably, Prince William’s wife was hospitalised for two weeks in the month of January for what was described as successful planned surgery for a non-cancerous condition. Now, the 42-year-old has revealed in the video that she is suffering from cancer, stating that she is well and getting stronger.

In a video, which was filed on Wednesday, Kate stated, “My medical team therefore advised that I should undergo a course of preventative chemotherapy and I am now in the early stages of that treatment.”

“This of course came as a huge shock, and William and I have been doing everything we can to process and manage this privately for the sake of our young family,” she said.

In February, King Charles also revealed that he was undergoing cancer treatment, which meant that he had to postpone his public royal duties.
Kensington Palace, Kate’s office, informed that no further details will be shared about the type of cancer. The office, in a statement, stated that the Princess of Whales is responding well to the treatment and is on a recovery pathway. The preventative chemotherapy had started in February.
The palace, in a statement, informed that Kate would not return to official duties until after Easter. However, the long absence of the princess has provoked intense speculation on the internet.

Both the royal couple had wanted to keep the cancer a secret until their children – Prince George, Princess Charlotte – started their school holidays which started on Friday.

“It has taken me time to recover from major surgery in order to start my treatment. But, most importantly, it has taken us time to explain everything to George, Charlotte and Louis in a way that is appropriate for them, and to reassure them that I am going to be ok,” Kate stated in the video.

“As I have said to them; I am well and getting stronger every day by focusing on the things that will help me heal; in my mind, body and spirits,” she further said.

Kate hasn’t been seen at any public events since she attended a church service on Christmas Day with other members of the royal family.
