Netanyahu in fear! Israel PM postpones his son’s wedding due to fear of…., new Hezbollah chief says…

In a surprising turn of events amid the Israel-Hezbollah conflict, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has reportedly postponed wedding of his son, which was scheduled to take place in an area of northern Tel Aviv on November 26. PM Netanyahu has told his aides that organizing the wedding could be risky due to the ongoing conflict and particularly the threat of drones from the north, as per a report by News18.

On the other side, Hezbollah’s new chief Nasim Qassim has claimed that they can fight for months but are ready for a ceasefire. In a televised speech by the new Chief, Qassim said that he intends to follow in the footsteps of the terrorist organization’s previous leader Hassan Nasrallah.

For those unversed, Israeli PM Netanyahu’s house was targeted in a Hezbollah drone attack and as a result, his bedroom window was damaged last month. PM Netanyahu blamed the attack on “Iranian agents” who tried to assassinate him and his wife, and vowed that they would pay the price.

Hamas open to discussing new deal securing end to Gaza war

A senior Hamas official said on Tuesday the Palestinian militant group was studying new proposals from mediators to end the Gaza war but reiterated that these should entail a complete Israeli military withdrawal from the enclave.

“The movement has confirmed it is open to any deal or ideas that ends the suffering of our people in Gaza and achieve a permanent ceasefire, and the occupation’s withdrawal from all of Gaza Strip,” Sami Abu Zuhri said in a televised speech.

He also said an agreement must end the Israeli-led blockade of the coastal enclave, allow unrestricted relief aid and a reconstruction of Gaza, and achieve a swap of Israeli hostages in Gaza for Palestinian prisoners in Israel.

Qatar ready to mediate

Abu Zuhri’s statement signalled no change to the faction’s outstanding conditions. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says the war can only end when Hamas is eradicated.

Qatar will work as mediator along with U.S. President Joe Biden’s administration “until the last minute” before the Nov. 5 presidential election to reach a Gaza ceasefire deal, a Qatari foreign ministry spokesperson said on Tuesday.
