How many terrorist training camps and launching pads exist in Bankrupt Pakistan? Lashkar terrorist reveals…

Terrorism linked to Pakistan has become a global concern due to its alleged role in supporting and harboring militant groups. Several terrorist organizations, such as Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammed, and the Haqqani Network, are believed to operate from its soil with support from elements within Pakistan’s establishment. In a significant development, Lashkar-e-Taiba operative Salman Khan, recently extradited from Rwanda to India, has disclosed important details about Pakistan’s support for terrorism.

During his interrogation, Salman shared information about over 70 active terrorist training camps currently operating in Pakistan. He also provided information about the dangerous terrorists in the region. Notably, six of these camps have been functioning continuously since 1990 and remain operational, alongside several launching pads used to infiltrate terrorists into other countries.

As per information available with Indian intelligence agencies, Pakistan’s intelligence agency has set up over 100 terrorist training camps since 1980. When there was external pressure to close these camps, some were simply shut down on paper. Intelligence reports indicate that terrorist training camps have been operating in areas like Non-Miran Shah since 1998 and are still active today. Similarly, a terrorist training camp in Hyderabad, Sindh, Pakistan, which started in 1993, continues to function even now.

Since January 1990, a terrorist training camp has been active at the Islamabad airbase and continues to operate. Additionally, camps remain in operation at Mansehra Forest and in Khost. Salman Khan, a Lashkar terrorist extradited from Rwanda to India, has provided vital information to security agencies about these active training centers, launching pads, and notable terrorists in Pakistan. Among those mentioned are the leader of Lashkar and the recently deceased Abdul Rehman Makki.

Terrorist Salman Khan has detailed to the investigating agencies how Pakistan runs terrorist training centers within its borders and has established several launching pads near the border. The information provided by him closely matches the intelligence collected by security agencies.

Intelligence agencies had prior knowledge that over 70 terrorist training camps are currently operating in Pakistan, where individuals from various terrorist groups are being trained. Additionally, there are several active launching pads near the Line of Control, used for infiltrating terrorists into India. In 2019, under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, the Indian government carried out an airstrike on these training camps. However, following the strike, the camps were relocated to different areas.
