Tehran: Iran has secretly engaged in making nuclear weapons. Iran plans to build a nuclear weapon that can be deployed on missiles that can attack targets at a distance of more than 3000 km. In its report, British media outlet The Sun has identified three sites, based on satellite images, where work on the development of the weapon is going on. Iran’s leaders have claimed that these facilities are being used as part of a space initiative.
Iran is weakened and frightened by the recent defeat of its proxies and the fall of Bashar al-Assad in Syria. Due to this, it has now accelerated the development of its nuclear weapons. It is now making dangerous nuclear weapons for solid-fuel missiles with a range of more than 3000 km. This will bring many countries within the range of Iran’s nuclear weapons.
Iran’s possession of this long-range weapon means that large parts of India, Italy, Ukraine, and even Russia could potentially be within Tehran’s reach.
According to The Sun’s report, Iran is developing its nuclear weapon at two sites in Shahrud and Semnan. Initially, it was reported as a rocket space satellite launch site. The third site is Sorkheh Hesar, which is conducting projects related to nuclear energy and underground explosions.
According to the report, Iran’s government establishment is developing nuclear weapons for the solid-fuel Ghaem-100 missile. North Korean missile technology was used in the development of the Ghaem-100 missile. In 2011, when the missile was in very early testing stages, dozens of missile experts were killed at the Modarres military base in Tehran.
As soon as the danger is perceived, there is a restriction on the entry of personnel vehicles at the site. Vehicles must be parked at the checkpoint before people are allowed inside. Meanwhile, Iran has warned the United States and Israel that an attack on its nuclear facilities would be an act of madness. Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said this week in an interview with Sky News that it would be a very big disaster for the entire region.
