Miami: While addressing a gathering at the FII Priority Summit in Miami, United States President Donald Trump on Thursday stated that, “World War III is not far away.” The statement comes amid major countries in the world, including Russia and Israel, are in the middle of the war or indulged in some sort of skirmish that can escalate anytime. However, Trump claimed that his leadership would prevent World War III from happening. He also targeted former US President Joe Biden’s leadership, stating that if his administration had continued, the world would have been in war.
“There’s no profit for anyone in having World War III, and you’re not so far away from it. I’ll tell you right now. You’re not so far away. If we would’ve had this administration for another year, you would’ve been in a war three, and now it’s not going to happen,” he said.
Trump stated that while the United States will refrain from engaging in any of the ongoing conflicts, he intends to put an end to them. He remarked, “We will prevent these foolish, endless wars. We won’t involve ourselves in them, but we will be significantly stronger and more powerful than anyone else. If a war were to arise, no one would be able to match us, although we believe that will not occur.”
Trump quoted Elon Musk in a post on X and said, “Elon Musk: The President’s instincts on Ukraine are right. It is really sad that so many parents have lost their sons, and so many sons their fathers in this pointless war”.
On Wednesday, President Trump criticised Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy over the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. He said that America has invested USD 200 billion more than Europe, highlighting that Europe’s financial support is assured while the US does not receive any benefits in return. He accused Zelenskyy of convincing the US to spend billions on a war he deemed unwinnable, raising concerns about the distribution of resources and Europe’s insufficient financial involvement. Additionally, Trump referred to Zelenskyy as a dictator who does not hold elections.
Sharing a post on the social media platform Truth Social, Trump wrote, “Think of it, a modestly successful comedian, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, talked the United States of America into spending $350 billion dollars, to go into a war that couldn’t be won, that never had to start, but a war that he, without the US and “TRUMP,” will never be able to settle.”
