Islamabad: Seven soldiers of the Pakistan Army were killed in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) province on Friday, March 28. The Pakistani army had gone to the Lakki Marwat district of KPK to conduct an anti-terror operation. The Khorasan Diary claimed that a contingent of the Pakistani army, which had gone to operate against the Tehrik-e-Taliban (TTP) based on intelligence information, got trapped in due to a leak of information.
The government and army of Pakistan have been facing difficulties for quite some time. Particularly in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as rebel groups are attacking the Pakistani army.
Seven soldiers of the Pakistan Army lost their lives and six were injured in an attack by the TTP. It has also been reported that eight fighters of the TTP were killed in the gunfire.
According to the Khorasan Diary, a security officer reported that the army launched this operation in the Sarkati Machi area of Lakki Marwat district on Friday morning after receiving intelligence, which continued until evening.
Sources from the Pakistani army claim that the army has surrounded several fighters of TTP while counterattacking. A video was shared from an account named Raja Muneeb claiming that the secret operation of the Pakistani army to raid the TTP hideout in Lakki Marwat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has failed miserably. The Pakistani army attempted to attack the TTP hideout using common vehicles, but the group had already been informed about their operation. As a result, as soon as the Pakistani army got out of their vehicles, they came under fire. Seven soldiers were killed in this attack.
